Day Care

Custom orthoses in one day – quick manufacturing and personalized service.

For top sports, both quality and time are essential. For this reason, we provide the personalized manufacture of our products, including knee, shoulder, elbow, finger, hand and lower body orthotics, all within 24 hours. Generally, athletes can arrive in the morning, and go home in the afternoon with their orthotic device.

A Day Care Process

Here are the most important information about our Day care.

  • You should arrive at ORTEMA Orthopädie-Technik in Markgröningen between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. - how to reach us. 
  • We will present the orthosis we developed, discuss the care options with you, and determine the individual version that fits the diagnosis. 
  • We will create a plaster impression or 3D scan of the body area to be treated (duration about 60–90 minutes). 
  • From about 9:30 a.m. the day is free for you. We would be happy to invite you to breakfast in our cafeteria at OKM. At the same time, fabrication already starts. 
  • If you wish, you can train for free in our modern ORTEMA Fitness Studio; we just need a brief advance notice. (Please bring sportswear and shower supplies.) 
  • Otherwise you have the option to pursue several interesting activities in our nearby surroundings, e.g. the Mercedes-Benz Museum (about 20 km), Porsche Museum (about 11 km), Ludwigsburg Residence Palace / Blühendes Barock (about 8 km) or Breuninger Land Ludwigsburg (shopping center about 7 km). 
  • The fitting of your individually manufactured orthosis will take place in the afternoon (~3:00 p.m.) – your contact person will specify the exact time. 
  • The adjustment, control, completion, and instruction on use take about 90–120 minutes. 
Please note: Bring short sports clothing, a pair of sneakers, and your sport-specific equipment, e.g. ski boots, ice skates, motocross boots, or other personal protective gear to the scheduled appointment.
If you still have the original prescription (recipe), be sure to bring it with you.
